Between the house, the daily drivers and working 50+ hours a week on night shift I just have not been working on my Camaro for the last few years. I found her at a Super Chevy show back when it was held in Joliet Illinois several years ago. I pestered the owner several times a week until he finally sold it to me. It had a stock 350 with a 200R4 auto trans and a mild torque convertor, Flowmaster exhaust, and a few issues. She is a plain Jane Camaro that overheated on the 60 mile drive home. For the first few years I drove that car every chance I had, and sunk every extra penny I had into fixing it up. I found a good deal on a 350 with a forged crank and rods, took it to FX engines and when they tore it down the cylinder walls and pistons were scored and needed an .040 over bore. I had them re-assemble and machine the bottom end with ARP fasteners. Bought all Edelbrock Performer RPM components, heads, cam, air gap intake, timing chain etc. and assembled it. I've replaced much of the suspension with Hotchkiss stuff, springs, swaybar, matching bilstein shocks. Subframe connectors, aluminum radiator, custom built carb, modern steering box, Mallory ignition etc. She ran 13.7 in drive at the track. Would have been a lot quicker if I had manually shifted and kept it in the power band. Then I started the interior. Pounds of mouse nests in the sagging headliner, wiring nightmares, crappy door panels rust in the drivers floor. Ripped it all out, fixed the floor, applied Dynamat and stalled.
Over the last few years I have bought a bunch of parts. Hopefully you find this thread interesting as I get going. There is new OEM deluxe door panels I have to cut holes in for the the window regulators and punch all the holes for the trim, a new TMI 1 piece Headliner, overflow tank to replace the crappy plastic one, wiring harness to upgrade the '69 headlights, and braided line to fix the leaking stock tank to pump line and much more. Check in from time to time to check my progress & give me a shove when nothing happens. Here are some pics of a few of the parts.

never give up - that is why I found a car with the heavy lifting done (mechanics, exterior) and redid the interior myself.
