I have a 69 RS SS Z11 Pace Car with a 350/300 automatic with a Build Date of 3D. My protecto plate shows C for Carter so I'm presuming (1) I need a Carter built carburetor 7029202 with a B9 date code verses a Rochester 7029202 with a 4 digit date code. (2) Is there a specific differentiation of the 6th digit code of either 0, 1, 2 aside from indication it's a Chevrolet (3) what distinguishes a carburetor for a Camaro verses that of a Chevelle using the same 7029202 (4) I saw a chart once that indicated a 350 300 hp automatic should have a DH code but will that be on a Carter or a Rochester.

Sorry for all the questions, but I am trying to learn. Thank you for your responses.

Is your car #s matching? If not - I would not worry about Carter or Rochester ... might go with Edelbrook instead. My 67 has Edelbrock intake and carb setup and it works nicely.
