Welcome, Jesse. A picture of the trim tag would help, or here's a link you can decode your tag with: http://www.camaros.org/numbers.shtml#67Codes A SS350 car would not have came with a TH400 transmission, so that has been switched. If it is the original, see if you can find the partial VIN on it. Look here: http://www.camaros.org/drivetrain.shtml#PartialVINs

My 2 cents is that a first gen with no huge cancer & is mostly complete is a good deal at 5K. If it runs add a few more K to that.

So my camaro is a factory ss350 with remote mirror option ? I know a 4p is a super sport but the f in 4fp is throwing me off

That's the way I read it. It seems odd for the remote mirror to be in that field but that the way it is. I believe the 2M prevents it from being a L30/M20 so the 4P makes it a SS.

I think I'm in the same boat. I bought what I thought was a 67 SS with a 350 with only 500 miles on a rebuilt engine. The body is in great condition but turns out the engine is a piece of junk. So I stripped it. Using an old article I found off Super Chevy, I bought new 190cc ProComp heads, 7.4" pushrods, summit's sum k-1105 cam with 114* lobe, with a 298/304 adv. duration and came with hydraulic lifters. I also went and got a new timing chain (old had a little slack in it). It's topped with a carter afb comp series 650 riding on an edelbrock performer intake. Does anybody know if I've been making the right choices or have I gone and bitten off more than I can chew? By the way, I'm pretty mechanically inclined but this is my first rebuild. Any advice??? I could really use it!!

Location M - Option Information
Group 4
P - correct code for SS 350
N - 396/325hP
K - 396/375 L78
L - 302 Z28
F - remote mirror
If there was no designation in Group 4, the car was either a 327 V-8 or six-cylinder model.

Yes you have a real SS - F only refers to an adjustable mirror option.
