Yesterday I looked at a Vette. A 68, 327-4 speed factory air ragtop. It looked like a lot of fun!
The guy selling it said he'd bought it from his brother and it was completely stock, original paint, hadn't been touched in 30 years.
It had a cheesy repaint, cracked fiberglass near the front corners of the aftermarket big block hood, and the door jambs were spray painted black. The trim tag was held on with new pop rivits!
Of course all the corvette stuff under the hood was gone, it had rusty headers, aftermarket sidepipes, and a very new looking electric choke, vac secondary holley.
At this point, the guy got "dumb"... "It was my brother's car" "don't know nuttin"...
He wanted thirty grand for it.
