Looking for input/options...I have 69 Z28 unmodified to my knowledge with exception of converted to multi leaf springs. I was trying to "upgrade'' to a Bilstein/Hotchkiss shock purchased from Ecklers. Bilstein part number AK2074. It is just long enough to fit while car is at resting height, therefore no downward movement. The shock removed was about 4~5'' longer(unknown brand name). The local auto parts store gave me a different shock which is the same dimensions as the Bilstein....18.6'' extended. Do I have one of those "special situations " with this car? BTW, the front matching Bilstein shocks fit perfect. Anyone run into this or using these rear shocks?
