Post subject:  Motor mounts and ignition set up for a 68 camaro?

I’m getting ready to start on my 68 camaro putting in a 434 dart block Holley multi port efi 615hp n/a and a 100 shot of nitrous and have a few questions
1 what motor mounts should I go with (have a 327 in it now)
2 what ignition box and coil?
3 what headers fit the best (thinking Doug’s 1 3/4 primary’s
Any help would be nice this is my first car build so I’m new to the game
Thanks Kevin

standard 327 motor mounts will work fine.

Your holley efi will control the ignition advance, so you need a late model small body HEI with no advance mechanism. Summit has a bunch of them, technically it would be for an LT1 engine.

No input from me on 1 3/4" headers.

You should build for torque - this feature is what pegs the Seat-of Pants meter.
General rule of thumb is match tubing ID to the cylinder head port ID.
I went from 1.75" to 1.62" ID and gained 0.5 seconds on qtr mile times.

I did completely blow it on my distributor suggestion...
LT1's use that optispark, monted behind the water pump, not what we're looking for here at all.

This summit search will give you a start. Lots of choices. The one I used cost like $60, worked great with an accel super coil.
search keys were "chevy' gen1 small block" "v8" "computer controlled" "computer controlled advance"
