I really hate to pay other people to do things I can do myself. I had been looking at a pressure brake bleeder because my 98 Sillhouette van has always had a low pedal even after bleeding it several times. I did some internet research and there are a couple of places where you can find instructions to do this. Basically you buy a garden sprayer, some fittings and tubing and a cap for your specific brake system. The premise is that you can supply pressurised brake fluid in sufficient quantities to completely replace your old fluid and remove any air simply and easily.

Maybe you are one of us who is always looking for a deal. Maybe you are also looking for wheels for your First Gen. Unless the wheels you are looking at tell you that they fit your Camaro, how do you know what will fit? Diameter and backspacing are important, but the first thing you need to know is bolt pattern or they won't even bolt up. Our FistGens (and second Gens) all use a 5 X 4.75 bolt pattern. In metric that is 5 X 120.65. You need to measure from the center of one hole, skip a hole, and measure to the outside edge of the next hole. great info if you have the wheels in front of you, but what if you are scouring ads, or happen upon a deal at the swap meet and do not have a tape measure handy and see some nice wheels that came off of a late model GTO? Will they fit? Well here is a list I came accross that should help. The following wheels all fit First & Second Gen Camaros. Let the bargain hunting begin!

I've been practicing a bit on the table I made so I figured it was time to tackle a real project. I have the interior out of the car and the trans tunnel has been butchered over the years by the previous owners. You couldn't see it under the carpet & console but I knew it was there. Plus it let real hot air from the engine compartment into the interior. The floor/tunnel is a logical place to learn since it is covered. Earlier I tried a patch in the drivers side footwell, but that went poorly (due to fitment issues) and I decided to wait on that part and do a piece more accessible. I will get back to that patch next time.

So You Want To Weld! Part 4 - Camaro Tech

Today I decided to practice my tack welds on some metal near the thickness of the metal I will be using as patch panels on my floor. After setting the welder to the settings under the cover I had to experiment with how long to hold the trigger. At first I was burning through

So You Want To Weld! Part 3 - 1969 Camaro

I ran out of the CO2/Argon gas after the last installment. My 80 CU. owners tank cost me about 15 minutes & 40$ to have refilled at a local welding supply. So come with me as I share what I know & learn as I go. You have the tools, space and inclination to learn welding, now you need something to weld.
